Ambassador Hotel

Very pleasant lady that worked on reception. The noise insulation is maybe a bit weaker. The location is great for family vacations, but it can also be good for other tourists, because the public transport is very frequent in that part of the city. Breakfast was excellent and staff in the kitchen is very professional. Special attraction is the recorded voice of the anouncer lady in the elevator. 😆 Finally, this is a really good hotel for any occasion, and value for money ratio is very good.

Very friendly staff, especially the lady at the front desk who was always smiling and joking with us (on the last day there was noise very early in the morning and she instantly apologized without us even having to bring it up). The rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced - which we initially didn’t expect so was a great surprise. Nice pool that is kept clean (water was a little warm however) Room is nicely equipped with shampoo and body gel - we would liked some conditioner as well 🙈

Overall it was a cheap and correct hotel. It's an old-fashioned hotel, but we had everything that we needed. The view from the sea-view room was breathtaking. Despite the old style, we had tidy sheets, a clean bathroom, a good English breakfast, and EXCELLENT COFFEE. I couldn't complain. The bus station was nearby and if you want to visit Gozo, the Cirkewwa ferry terminal station is nearby.

The first time I was with my partner in Malta, one of the best decisions we made was choosing this hotel. Everything was perfect! The location – probably the best possible on the island – was quiet and peaceful, close to great tourist attractions, with a BEAUTIFUL view from the balcony of the sea and the bay, near shops and bus stops, charming beaches, and if needed, a pool in the hotel. The room was super clean, with comfortable beds and air conditioning. The drinks and food in the restaurant were outrageously delicious, and the portions were so huge that it was impossible to clean the plate! All the staff were very friendly, especially Christian from the bar (I hope I spelled the name correctly) and Elena from the reception, who made our stay at the hotel fantastic. They were very friendly, funny, approachable, extremely helpful, and fluent in several languages. They should be awarded employees of the year because they are the perfect representation of this place, so when we return to Malta, we will definitely choose Hotel Ambassador again!
